After spending many years playing the bass guitar (Pastor Joey) for the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and singing on tour with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers along with working on staff at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, Pastor Joey and Missy felt the Lord leading them to help pastor a large, multi-cultural church in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.  Ministry opportunities abounded during their 10 + years tenure at this church, including pastoring the Spanish Campus, marriage ministry, teaching, counseling and overseeing the drama ministry.

 Starting at the beginning of 2015, Pastor Joey felt God leading in a new direction for his and Missy’s lives – starting a new church.  Through much prayer, Deep Waters Tabernacle was birthed.  Pastor Joey and Missy have a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by helping people draw near to Jesus in a deeper manner, through meaningful worship, through prayer and by sharing God’s Word.
