Pastor Joey and Missy Vazquez, Senior Pastor

After spending many years playing the bass guitar (Pastor Joey) for the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir and singing on tour with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers along with working on staff at the Brooklyn Tabernacle, Pastor Joey and Missy felt the Lord leading them to help pastor a large, multi-cultural church in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Ministry opportunities abounded during their 10 + years tenure at this church, including pastoring the Spanish Campus, marriage ministry, teaching, counseling and overseeing the drama ministry. Starting at the beginning of 2015,

Pastor Joey felt God leading in a new direction for his and Missy’s lives – starting a new church. Through much prayer, Deep Waters Tabernacle was birthed. Pastor Joey and Missy have a desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ by helping people draw near to Jesus in a deeper manner, through meaningful worship, through prayer and by sharing God’s Word.

Pastor Tim and Faith Vazquez, Pastor

Pastor Tim is the worship leader of Deep Waters Tabernacle. A number of years ago, Pastor Tim felt the Lord calling him into full-time ministry. Fast-forward to November 1st of 2015, Pastor Tim was placed in the position as director of the music and worship ministry at Deep Waters Tabernacle. In 2019, he married his lovely wife, Faith, and together they serve and lead The Hideout,  our Teen Ministry here at our church. Faith also leads and directs our Toddler's Ministry, founding our Sunday School curriculum on prayer and the Word of God in a way that's fun, engaging, and Christ-centered for our little ones.

Pastor Tim has a passion for the Lord, worship, and ministering among God's people. He graduated from Liberty University in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Christian Ministry and was ordained into ministry in 2025. Pastor Tim hopes to continue to apply everything he's learned to bless the church and further the kingdom of God. Faith graduated from Regent university in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in business and uses her gifts in finance and social media to bless and help the church in various ministries.

We are Here to Serve You!

Our staff at Deep Waters Tabernacle loves our Lord Jesus Christ and is committed to serving his people. We are here to serve in any way that will help you grow closer to God!

1 Timothy 3: 1-13

...They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons. In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.
